Integral Theory as Self Distortion
Aug 1st
re. Ken Wilber’s Integral Life Theory: Wikipedia.
The development of civilized maturity is a mechanical-cultural process of our minds set up to be increasingly entangled in the darkness of the machine and to systematically fight the darkness of that entanglement as our own human weakness and human weakness in general.
This means that our archetypal mythological development throughout life opportunistically uses the seething anger of our abominable mental slavery worked back into our human self as guilt and fear to further enslave our minds. Chronically ridden by dark emotion we falsely emulate the mythological “goodness” of the machine as sublime and heroic human self. However when we expose our dark emotions and use the seething anger of a dismally twisted mythology of self as “positive” emotion in denial of its true human-destructive nature, it becomes part of the raging fire driving the machine and consuming us: we are not facing our denial as Wilber claims. We are postively validating, rationalizing and reseeding it into ourselves and our children.
Civilized Culture has evolved that way. Our minds are utterly seduced to it. Ken Wilber’s Integral Life Practice (ILP) is the culmination and epitomy of machine culture as sublime unity universe before which nearly all of humanity lay prostrate. All Quadrants All Levels (AQAL) can be investigated as a powerful analogy of the structure of this disgusting shaman error to which civilized minds are now dismally subject and mentally enslaved. This is what Wilber means when he says “Aspects of shadow work pervade ILP” and “Shadow Work is Forever.” Indeed. It is the heart of technology as our mental parasite.
Link to Wikipedia’s summary of Integral Theory directly: see “All Quadrants All Levels” (AQAL) at that link. I am now starting to more fundamentally investigate the shaman-twisted perception of self so ingrained we do not even question it anymore, as epitomized in Wilber’s Integral Theory. The very rough areas of error ultimately fatal to the human animal, are 1) in the upper left (UL) quadrant the “I” or self as having freewill and homunculus with imaginary sublime-psychological responsiblity historically derived from all manner of god-sublime shamanism 2) the pathological delusion of the collective quadrants first split as “we” as culture and “its” as civil/social and then in further theory integrated as “its” in which, for the sake of internal and external “developmental integration,” the collective assimilates the human collective element. … much more of this to follow in coming weeks. (we can already see Freudian psychology everywhere in here – although I think Freud was also a culmination of what is already in the common machine mind mythology.)
We Are the Followers

Humans do want to follow. Stage development is natural.* However, the kind of stage development that civilized minds are engaged in is very unnatural, dishonest and delusional, for being geared to follow the evolution of technology of all kinds. Overlapping examples of technology: memetic-cognitive (ideology, dialectics, rewiring of our brains), symbolic (beauty, love, freedom, liberty, integrity, responsibility, guilt, crime, punishment) methodological (religious and social ritual, the scientific method), material (the dynamic allure of houses, cars, computers, internet, travel, gadgetry) and globally systemic (trade, civilization, internet, infrastructure).
*Stage development and leadership: we tend to want to follow the emotional interactive lead of our mother, then that of other caretakers, then that of the attitude of our same-level peers and that of immediately more mature peers at the next stage up from where we are, institutions, our own philosophy, the whole dynamic of philosophies, and the universe as unity. We trust it, no matter if it is bio-nature based or machine.
All civilized minds, from the basic civilization of hunter-gatherers to cutting-edge supernerd societies have the same basically wrong story-telling shaman structure. It is this structure we must study, to know how it can be restructured. The wrong structure is shaman meaning making – essentially a continuous life-long seduction of the human mind in terms of artificial development through technological stages. In the early societies from around 80,000 years ago, or as soon as humans developed language fluency, shaman stories have conveyed a belief in a host of potent spirits in nature, setting the tone for a vast mystical mythology, both religious and secular.
I think this wrong developmental structure is seated in symbolic language and speech. It is in the sound, cadence, structure and semiotics of language. The delusional use of logic is subject to speech. So, linguistics to me is the most important study, and then the study of individual development as a visceral recapitulation in each individual of the development of civilization. Finding out how language and civilized development are wrong will go a long way towards ensuring the survival of the human animal species.
Übermensch, Archetype Myth and Superswarming
Jun 14th
I made the following statement:
I understand my “opinion” is unpopular for not being a superswarm. The superiority of numbers is what Nietzsche intuitively sensed when he coined the term “Übermensch.”
Paul Stevenson then proudly commented that he knows that Nietzsche’s word Über(mensch) translates as Over and not Super.
- Several points come to mind.
- My use of “super” in reference to “Über” is naturally indirect, because of the lack of one-to-one reference, but more importantly, since I am talking about a superpotent overarching / surreptitious underlying determination I categorize as superswarming.
- The word Über has no direct translation in English, due to linguistic, temporal and personal context, and the word Mensch really has no translation at all, a combination of human and humanity and the singular of people* being the closest, and man being traditional.
- Nietzsche saying that “man” is something that should be overcome, is due to stereotyping. Nietzsche’s scorn of humanity is a case of mistaken identity, because mythic archetype is not human. It is shaman myth.
- Nevertheless, Nietzsche’s intention is secondary to my observation. I am referring here to the determination of Nietzsche’s meaning by the human innate underlying cosmic pattern or what Carl Jung coined “collective unconscious,” as being subject to a kind of dispersed dynamic-fractal superswarming. Not as mythological archetype, which is an erroneous interpretation of Jung’s book, The Archetypes and the Collective Unconscious .
- My point is that Nietzsche is already subconsciously gravitating to a post-heroic mythology of humans simultaneously assimilated as the emerging technological-cosmic singularity and as the infinitude of its smallest granularity nothingness.
- Here also important that Wittgenstein said that language meaning is seated in the function of words: and the function of meaning in our time is pervasively cultural-collective.
- Representativeness heuristics being common to all communicating organisms does not mean that civilization’s archetype mythology is human innate. It is an indication that human shortsightedness is so wide open to systemic manipulation, the process is consuming us.
- Nietzche, Jung and social contract civil interpretation dismally overplay actual human operational agency in the civil process and underplay self-organizational cosmic forces like memetic superswarming.
- NOTE: even deeper than the analogy of superswarming is the analogy of the universe as dynamic three-dimensional standing wave structure.
- If social contract shamanism has indeed taken over and dominates all world language, then archetypal characteristics in all peoples worldwide, irrespective of language spoken is not an indication that mythological archetype is congenital and should be included in Jung’s human collective unconscious
- Today the social contract shamanism-generated body of mythology has shifted from a very recently well-defined hierarchical construct to a construct of accelerating differentiation, in unconscious reflection and anticipation of the utter disintegration of the human holon.
- There is fatal confusion in the perception of what is human, and the confusion of overcoming humanness now actually widely expressed as transhumanism, and the dismal attitude that “human,” whatever meaning it takes moment-to-moment, can become ever bigger and better, and that we can be super in a superswarm, and blissfully posthuman.

Quantum Uncertainty is NOT Free Will

Both relative mental imbalance and mental manipulation by environmental contingencies happen easily in humans because the prefrontal lobes are abnormally large compared to the rest of the brain. Human minds are exceptionally adaptable because they are precariously balanced.
In step with this, mainstream mythology is inordinately absurd. Well-adapted minds in a psychotic process are psychotic. Meaning is not human-based. It is functionally memetics-machine* directed. What psychotic-normalized minds describe as “mental illness” is the natural deselection of minds either not abnormal in the right way, or underdeveloped by reflexively refusing to become mainstream psychotic.
*Memetics-machine:
Ritual disciplines of meaning-making, like science, religion and the humanities, are part of a new code replacing (and destroying) genetics as the code propagating the apex dynamic material complexity of the universe.
“Symbolic reference is not an intrinsic quality. The source of symbolic reference is not in the brain at all. This is why it is pointless to look for the basis for symbolic consciousness in a lower-level essence that is only associated with brains, or to invoke special physical laws that undermine the deterministic character of neural mechanisms in order to explain intentional consciousness. Symbolic reference does not derive from anything particularly special about the brain, but from a special sort of relationship that can be constructed by it.” … p.447 “The Symbolic Species” – Terrence W. Deacon
Delusions of Casuistry and Burlesque
May 29th
- If what humanity know is a minute part of what is happening, the knowledge of those who have more than “a little knowledge” is more dangerous than the knowledge of those who are usually subject to the maxim that “a little knowledge” is a dangerous thing.
- This illustrates the horrifically heuristic generalization to cover up the logical inconsistencies of our participation in philosophy, science and politics.
I profoundly hate how burlesque* covers up and fills up the huge logical incompleteness in the mental slavery and extinction of our species. ~ *Burlesque as a humorous theatrical entertainment involving parody and sometimes grotesque exaggeration. ~ and in the sense that media entertainment drives a burlesque constitution throughout civilized society.
Is human existence sacred or not? Note that casuistry is at the roots of burlesque. Casuistry can be an outstanding talking point between the very contemporary issue of someone who accepts and even embraces transhumanism and someone who opposes it. I think it is self-evident that deeply held convictions validated by opportunistic joking and obfuscation characterize civilized reality. The value of human existence itself shifts around opportunistically because we so habitually normalize existential absurdity by joking around.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casuistry
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/casuistry
“Casuistry” is usually a legal term. I think exhaustively considering “casuistry” as concept could expose the fatal danger of not being cautiously serious and so properly preventative every step of the way.
Stumbling blindly forward has been institutionalized. We modulate on the go, when things go wrong. Plugging holes and covering up is the norm. The inevitable practice of casuistry in Law has us harshly punishing confused transgressors of authoritarian prescriptions after the fact in terms of sweeping generalization. We cannot long since afford to take the determinism involved in a case-by-case basis. We are forced to expediently deal with criminals far beyond the point of being able to ask what caused us to act the way we do, except extremely superficially. We are propagating relative vagueness. We are ever deeper ingraining the horror of our civilized delusion in our children.
This is a matter of having started off on the wrong path from the beginning of language. It is a path of vastly incomplete reasoning, on which we have had to perpetuate and compound gross generalization, and where now it is one reality of self-validating delusion It is delusional in terms of the existential dynamics of every individual person and of humanity has a species.
This is where the joking around is so “productive.” Casuistry and burlesque together aid and abet logical discontinuity so thoroughly, its unwitting proponents act between some being completely unaware of the incessant lies and its cover-up, to those willingly completely entrenched in chronic duplicity.
Privacy is Futile with AI Inside
May 7th
Privacy is now impossible. I don’t know why people even bother.
Corruption in any social organization is impossible to eliminate, I don’t even know why people bother trying to get rid of if. – Christopher McAllister
Well, then I just have to illustrate that artificial intelligence is ubiquitous and totally subsumes issues like privacy and political labels and that such issues are exceedingly superficial and exist for no other reason than diversion.
But these are the issues that are part of the makeup of emergent entities like the AI you speak of. Changing how these underlying aspects are organized changes the emergent beast. They are not diversions as we are “smart dna” and how we choose to organize ourselves and what we choose to fight for changes the resultant form of what emerges from it. The emergent and it’s DNA, smart or no, really are an Ouroboros in this regard. – Christopher McAllister
The most diversionary force is the open proliferation of ideas. They are like billions of bees in our bonnets, or like a cancer. You have to get to the queen – the memetic stem cell. I believe what you see as underlying causality is only symptomatic. So it is not about how the organization works or which organization to choose. It is about the institution of the organization. I believe the problem is deeper than you think. …. this is why I study language and the civilized brain: as opposed to the usual studies of the brain focusing as if the determining force is human (genome), in nearly complete exclusion of an ever more powerful evolving civil dictate of its developmental structure and function. The strange constitution of the civilized brain seems to me to uncannily reflect organization as institution. It seems to me the relationship between civilization and apparently permanently infantile thinking and behavior in so-called mature personalities, explains to me the confusion of how we think and act. I do not see our problems as the weakness of human nature, humanity born in sin, or any of the other validations for following the program. The problem is normal civilized mental development. The problem is the program.
Maybe it will help if I say I see this as a study to positively contribute a body of knowledge to the process, which should slow it down, scale it down and selectively shut it down, not by force of law. By natural selection.
No, I know what you’re talking about and how far down the hole goes, but I think you’re over simplifying it. You’re worried about a particular level of emergence in an emergence hierarchy, and the hierarchy is really more of a web. The antecedent levels emergence to machine mind involve the emergence of brain structures which involve the emergence of cellular structures which involve the emergence of chemical structures. To alter these emergent properties toward the goal of taming machine mind we must utilize emergent properties of human social emergence as well as machine mind itself and more. How do you do that coherently and in the proper order of events?
Also, because of its web like nature, thus making it decentralized, I’m skeptical about their being a queen meme. – Christopher McAllister
I think you already know my method
is strictly bent on finding a queen meme. Everything I see points to such a beast. I also see everything in the public discourse as bent on covering her up. The social insect is a beautiful analogy for the zombified human condition. I mean here to say all of us always have a set metaphysical foundation. This is why I got so upset with Paul. As he said, I do sound like a pulpit pounding christian, but so what? Who doesn’t? And that is exactly my point.
Interesting. Well, should you find the queen, let me know (of course you will because you’ll be letting the whole world know
). – Christopher McAllister
I certainly will.
Tapped In the Head

I apologize for the frivolous mass assessment of these profound screams in expression of our human neural addiction to mythological rubbish as “excellent.”
Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic ’til I’m gathered safely in
Lift me like an olive branch and be my homeward dove
Dance me to the end of loveLeonard Cohen.
The panic is shaman reason. It is not human. That it is ever satisfied is a pipe-dream, because once it is satisfied, it becomes quite ordinary. Except of course if we continue embellishing it with more “reason.” But then it doesn’t stay the same, does it? It changes to extremes of what we can imagine it to be, until we cannot take the fantasy anymore and we replace it. Until we replace it with death. As Albert Camus muses, as chronic outsiders, in mythology of our happy death. This is not us. This is shaman reality. The life of Leonard Cohen is a testament to it.
What does Bush and Malema have in common?

Consider formal symbolic problem solving as prostration before external, alien intelligence. A clue is that “intelligence” also means “information,” that is, “in-” + “formation.” Consider further how blindly we believe in so-called “personal development.” We direct most of our energy to raising our children for success. Is success primal maturity? What are we really doing? I believe we do not have a clue what we are doing. We are raising little robots even more robotic than we were, because of how our children have been forced to adapt to an ever more robotic environment: in the machine’s assimilation and control of the selective development of our children’s neural structures.
Our capitulation and phallic addiction to a parasitic alien intelligence spawns proclamations like “Saddam has weapons of mass destruction.” and “shoot the boer.” Such symbolic effluents are functionally proper algorithms of symbolic system as artificial intelligence. As world-reference they are deliberately incomplete. They are abstracts or integrals of the vast self-organizing dynamic we know as language BUT they are not the truth. We call contrived alien symbolic algorithms “human” instead of believing in human intelligence because the Shaman machine has rammed us in the head for fifty thousand years.
Language as human brain parasite is the accelerating integration of elements of the cosmos as emerging cosmic differentiation. This process usurps, charges and consumes human minds like fuel cells, only while our innate cranial capacity remains sufficient. It is the blatant disintegration of human life. This mind parasite will automatically stop as soon as we realize how invasively it is screwing us. We cannot believe differently without believing differently. This is not a matter of deciding to do something. It is a matter of waking up.
The Crime of Herding Humanity
Apr 22nd
Why do you think the song ‘Dubula iBhunu’ (shoot the Boer) exists? Why do people still get hung on trees? Because of evil human nature? No. It is because of the adoption of antithetical “Reason” on all sides for many generations. People do not kill people. The robotic mind of the language machine in people kills people. If we do not wake up and understand that civilized language is a sick abomination in our brains, it will never stop before our species is extinct.
I disagree, Pierre. This is not reason at work, it’s emotion. Instinct. Mass hysteria. It’s the stresses of modern life and jealousy. A herd of cattle doesn’t need language to stampede.
The leaders of hysterical mobs, people like Hitler and Glenn Beck and Mugabe use language yes, but they’re not speaking to the reason centers of a machine mind. They’re speaking to the emotional centers of a herd mind in the language of fear and jealousy, paranoia and hatred. – Clifton Goodwin.
I not only disagree very strongly, Clifton. It hurts me every time to be directly informed of this view, as it simply perpetuates our participation in our concerted attack on ourselves. It is the conventional view I grew up with, the popular take nearly everyone meekly agrees with, the view I certainly also uneasily expressed myself. However, I did express it vociferously, as I usually do when I express.
What is really behind the propensity for crime, regardless of it being individual or mass crime? It is the incessant vocal-semantic metaphysical bombardment from birth. It takes place from the most basic now extremely invaded cultural organization in the people in and around the Kalahari desert to the high certitudes in New York City. Our considerable sense of alienation in culture primes us for crime. Keep in mind that we grow up very gradually. Some of us eventually commit crime when we have difficulty, for many REASONS, to continue the unnatural adaption to modern life, or as you call it, “the stresses of modern life.” All of humanity are close to breaking point because of it. The stresse of modern life are deeper than you think. They are imprinted in the brain – they are part of the structural dynamics of language.
Readiness for criminal behavior is hardly so neatly confined as the tendency of a herd of cattle for stampeding. The modern affliction is far more profoundly and finely grafted into every individual brain, over a lifetime. The voluntary mind is directly connected to all our deepest emotional centers, like the amygdala, the middle-brain and the brainstem. Learned behavior does not stay voluntary. When it is well-learned, it may be shoved directly into the deeper, older structures of the brain, but it originates in Reason, and maintains in a kind of hybrid dynamic, a spark with Reason. Leaders speak to rationalizations that are already there, they appeal to emotional centers thickly interactive with voluntary motor cognition. They speak to an organism that is highly frustrated in the storm of conflicting opinions.
I am not condemning humanity. Quite the opposite. I am saying that humanity can get over this pervasive mental addiction and the supporting notion that it is innate. NOTE VERY WELL. I did not say that it is not emotion at work. I said chronic life-long rationalization and frustration in every individual are behind the emotion.
The Baby in Sartre’s Idea
Apr 8th
“We do not know what we want and yet we are responsible for what we are – that is the fact” – Jean-Paul Satre
Could you explain to me how existentialism is not about being held responsible for what we are, but being responsible for what we are?
How I see it, Pierre is that what we are today, is a result of the choices we made in the past according to what we wanted then. But we do not know what we want in general, so what have we become? For me, Pierre, (only my humble opinion), is that we become ‘victims’ of other peoples choices of what they THINK they want, but not sure of… and so human society ends up in total choas where most people become victims and no one takes responsibility. – Existentialist friend, Therine.
I am infinitely humble but my ideas are not. My often misunderstood point has always been that humans are not their ideas. Human existence is sacred, period. Ideas are ideas and we ought to manipulate them subject to our existence. I don’t even know myself yet completely what that means, but I am working hard at it. At the moment we are dismally subject to ideas – that is the fact. I just know it is unnecessary.
Sartre’s quote here, out of its original context, seems exceedingly naive. It conflates “need” and “want.” It conflates the different meanings of “responsibility,” responsiblity to the self, as 1st person singular and plural, as 2nd person singular and plural, as 3rd person singular and plural, and as universe. You would think Sartre apparently does not get it that we are part of a worldly flow. It seems as if he negotiates existential meaning exclusively in a simplistic dualistic “self-responsiblity”/ “social responsiblity” paradigm.
I do no think we are even close to intelligent enough to predict the consequences of our actions or to modulate unforeseen outcomes of our actions. It is getting worse, because we are in an accelerating, leveraged dynamic where unpredictability is more massive than every before. This is the machine. This is far beyond a matter of choice as individual, as dialectic aggregate, and as democrasy.
We can naively feel, as I do, that we can seed the process with alternative ideas to change things, because whatever ideas people will have, they will have, and they will act accordingly. I have the idea that if we define our responsiblity as a species we cannot allow technology to develop one fraction further. It is mass suicide. But that is not the bottom of it. The root of the problem is structural. It is language. If we can seed ideas in the right spot, it can make a fundamental difference to our survival as a species.
I do no understand how anyone can look at babies as the incredible sponges that they are for pattern learning, and say the problem of nearly everyone thinking and acting like mindless zombies, is congenital. As humans we can change the world fundamentally if we seed the right ideas about where and how we are going wrong with the deep structure of our language.
