The Crime of Herding Humanity
Apr 22nd
Why do you think the song ‘Dubula iBhunu’ (shoot the Boer) exists? Why do people still get hung on trees? Because of evil human nature? No. It is because of the adoption of antithetical “Reason” on all sides for many generations. People do not kill people. The robotic mind of the language machine in people kills people. If we do not wake up and understand that civilized language is a sick abomination in our brains, it will never stop before our species is extinct.
I disagree, Pierre. This is not reason at work, it’s emotion. Instinct. Mass hysteria. It’s the stresses of modern life and jealousy. A herd of cattle doesn’t need language to stampede.
The leaders of hysterical mobs, people like Hitler and Glenn Beck and Mugabe use language yes, but they’re not speaking to the reason centers of a machine mind. They’re speaking to the emotional centers of a herd mind in the language of fear and jealousy, paranoia and hatred. – Clifton Goodwin.
I not only disagree very strongly, Clifton. It hurts me every time to be directly informed of this view, as it simply perpetuates our participation in our concerted attack on ourselves. It is the conventional view I grew up with, the popular take nearly everyone meekly agrees with, the view I certainly also uneasily expressed myself. However, I did express it vociferously, as I usually do when I express.
What is really behind the propensity for crime, regardless of it being individual or mass crime? It is the incessant vocal-semantic metaphysical bombardment from birth. It takes place from the most basic now extremely invaded cultural organization in the people in and around the Kalahari desert to the high certitudes in New York City. Our considerable sense of alienation in culture primes us for crime. Keep in mind that we grow up very gradually. Some of us eventually commit crime when we have difficulty, for many REASONS, to continue the unnatural adaption to modern life, or as you call it, “the stresses of modern life.” All of humanity are close to breaking point because of it. The stresse of modern life are deeper than you think. They are imprinted in the brain – they are part of the structural dynamics of language.
Readiness for criminal behavior is hardly so neatly confined as the tendency of a herd of cattle for stampeding. The modern affliction is far more profoundly and finely grafted into every individual brain, over a lifetime. The voluntary mind is directly connected to all our deepest emotional centers, like the amygdala, the middle-brain and the brainstem. Learned behavior does not stay voluntary. When it is well-learned, it may be shoved directly into the deeper, older structures of the brain, but it originates in Reason, and maintains in a kind of hybrid dynamic, a spark with Reason. Leaders speak to rationalizations that are already there, they appeal to emotional centers thickly interactive with voluntary motor cognition. They speak to an organism that is highly frustrated in the storm of conflicting opinions.
I am not condemning humanity. Quite the opposite. I am saying that humanity can get over this pervasive mental addiction and the supporting notion that it is innate. NOTE VERY WELL. I did not say that it is not emotion at work. I said chronic life-long rationalization and frustration in every individual are behind the emotion.

This is counterintuitive analogy, but while adult minds are more like nearly 7 billion musical pipes in submission to the parasitic imperatives of language evolution, the huge timbral sieve it passes through every moment, is children’s minds, in gauge of its direction. Many similar inversions of current popular perspective will have to be adopted if we are to save our species from extinction.
We cannot design language, or decide what its shape will be. It evolves. The only way to change the course of language is to infect it memetically. It needs a viral infection in the bedrock of its deepest roots. I suddenly realized that the consequences would be unpredictable. No, it is not clear at all yet, so far only the intention is pure.
To deflect a destructive species of language metaphysics like Shaman, one idea will have to be so self-evident, that there would be no doubt that it is right. Actually if you think about it. One idea is now nearly completely subjectively ingrained, or self-evident: the idea that language is sacred. Yes, I would not exclude the possibility that language is intrinsically destructive, but I have far to go before being able to come such a conclusion.
We all love language, but we must realize how subjective it is. We cannot know if direct indexing of the world would not be far more vivacious than placing a matrix of word patterning over it, as we now do. A hugely better solution than the one behind the current dismal human condition can very easily develop from my direction of patterning. The current patterning principle is “Shaman.” The new one, “Human.”
Shaman is metaphysics framing the laying down of fantastic pictorial (iconic) patterns of reality in tight correlation with the patterns of the dynamic system of abstract symbols (language). In the sense that meaning making is overall becoming ever more generalized, this shifting constructed reality is in increasingly loose correlation with the environmental patterns of the physical world.
“Generalized meaning making” is meaning making that takes an ever more efficient, ever higher formulaic meta-view. The only thing self-proclaimed integral late post-modernism and guru shamanism integrate and orchestrate are the institution of the mindless, mechanical pattern of differentiation in the minds of humanity.
I am thrilled about the possiblity of already fatally infecting the Shaman memeiosis.
There is this sparkly idea to use variations of null (as in the Tao Te Ching) as a means to bridge the gap between science and “real” meaning. It will also soon start scrunching itself into my dissertation. Subject to the possiblity of my misunderstanding, this new synthesis, which may be what drives the current Economic Spawning of the East, is even more fatal than Western materialism.
How do memes infect the human mind to bring humanity to its knees and ritually prostrate? They fit indirectly, through the dynamic patterns of Shaman language.
The Human Singularity Project must define organization to its deepest tippy root, because organization is another perspective of rules-based differentiation of language as virtual reality in a most myopic and delusional manipulation of the physical world.
Christopher
Are you saying that organization is a matter of perception? Or maybe that only an incomplete perspective of how reality organizes itself can be had? Or that most organization perceived is mentally constructed and that language is a large facilitator of that?
To perceive organization is another perspective of the perspective that Shaman language as an associative matrix of pictorial (iconic) patterns has representative function only as an excuse for its primary evolutionary function: cosmos-procreative power. Shaman language and organization are two faces of the same beast. It is a beast that is not about human activity, enlightenment or well-being, but about cosmic procreation.
Christopher
Interesting. Is evolution itself machine mind? Is machine mind, fully articulated, the sum combination of MINDLESS/NON-CONSCIOUS directive pressures present in existence tossing us about like a grain of dust atop a windy sea?
I picked up the connection because of the development of underlying pattern of categorizing different concepts in language, which themselves mature until they themselves are solid concepts. The matrices of language are essentially a layered problem-solving dynamic with deep organizational structure: it is organization. “Organization” as we know the term, is just another name for it.
Evolution by itself is not what I have been calling machine-mind. Shaman 80-50,000 years ago is the key, the threshold. Yes, it is the evoltutionary self-organizing drive of the universe, but human minds are the first breeding ground in which such an immensely more powerful drive can organize. It is level of organization by many factors more powerful than anything that has existed before. What has existed before is not organization compared to it. (or 100,000 – 50,000 years ago, we will never know exactly.)
So I must stress that human minds are not the agents of this drive, we are its breeding ground, or its parasitic host.
Christopher
Okay. I’m getting a little bit more of grasp on what you’re saying every day (I think). Then you see this acceleration of self-organizing replication-synthesis-replication as something reaching critical mass and people are the fanatical scientist who thinks he’s got all the parameters figured out even as the meter climbs into the red right before the whole experiment blows up in his face?
Yes, but far more intricately granulated. Not an explosion. More like a vast and unstoppable invasion all over humanity; across perceptual dimensions like mind and body. So it will be in control as it eats us.
“God” is Machine.
Jan 18th
I am not against language whatsoever, but against the human destructive way it has evolved. Things are at their worst when, as soon as you start becoming aware of the farcical delusion of your certainty, you cover it up with deliberate farce.
The epidemic is civilization. The disease is shamanic language. The pathogen is discrete concepts or memes. The evolutionary beneficiary of an increasingly pathological humanity is the machine. The beneficiary of transhuman species extinction is the machine. It is not this kind of “man” or that kind of “man” or “man” in general. The problem is chronic rhetorical certitude. We all parade around self-defined like #$%@ little shaman-gods. It is rubbish. We are human children and we have nothing but our existence. “Self-defined,” here means “machine-mind-defined” The civilized are parading around as machine-mind-defined shaman-god zombies.
Most have heard about the “moment of now” guru ideal. In the context of universal, timeless and abstract theory-as-reality (i.e. God is Real and every discrete concept is representative) and science-is-sacred, it is the final stage in human machine mind human AI conversion. It is a flight from the particular, the concrete, the transitory/timely and practical. It is the final submission to whatever happens. It is the final submission to shamanic language: to abstraction and imaginary timelessness and everlasting life. It is the ultimate dystopian delusion because it is a pathological sucking up to and completion of imaginary certainty. Yes, I know this is not clearly stated yet. I will get it down soon. It is about human existence, and naturally timely, particular and practical human animal intelligence undistorted by the sick universal, timeless, abstract definitions of civilization’s shaman language.
These ideas while critically reading paper back version of “Cosmopolis,” Stephen Toulmin, p75, 76.
Civilized reality cannot define human rights. When it says “human rights” it is ignorantly talking about the right of the machine to express in humans as human … which has always been the same atrocity of shaman reality in a cyclical action of pulling itself up by its own bootstraps since the emergence of fluent language in humans.
The language you think you are using representatively of human existence is as an evolutionary force unconcerned about anything but its own existence (as machine). Unless you use it with strong awareness of its singularly open potential for clandestine human destruction and extinction, your use of it is human-existentially delusional, because you then are using it machine-existentially.
The Human Condition
Nov 12th
I am adding this paragraph as a late introduction to the post. I had a short discussion with my seventeen-year old daughter a few minutes ago. She complained that two of her good male friends think of each other as “not cool” (to put it lightly), even thought they had never spoken to each other, she says. My answer was that us humans are really very thick (dumb/nearly completely unconscious) and delusion and intelligence (in the conventional sense of the word) are positively correlated. In this way, the most intelligent are the dumbest. This is why I believe without negotiation in all human existence and human dignity, and I do not believe in any symbolic characterizations and sliding scales defining “human.”
My Friend Tony, referring to Plato’s Cave Analogy: (IR is Independent Reality, or the whole universe, as it is beyond our senses, but including our senses. DR is Dependent Reality, or what our minds consciously experience as a result of being part of the universe)
Tony/ “In your model (am I right?): IR is as it is, DR is what we sense when watching the wall pictures we project on the wall. In this model, IR and DR are really independent, DR is virtual, disjoint without common part or interaction. We could say an irremovable horizon divides things into two realities. Here DR is imaginary, obviously.”/Tony.
Unity Reality (UR), Existence Subsuming Mind
Your projection analogy is great! I will get to the specific perspective of the irremovable horizon between DR and IR later in this post. Thanks to you, I am refining my model further … Human projection of DR (dependent reality), despite being virtual, actually exists, so it is actually itself IR (independent reality). We could establish the term unity reality (UR) to use instead of IR, to fit my model. To fit with UR, discrete reality (DR) would then replace dependent reality (DR), reflecting both the broken quality and insulating qualities of imagination. Reason, as we now practice it, seems to insulate us from nature, specifically our own nature as human animal. UR as a human-existential principle would be a healthy (human-congruent) term to distinguish existence from mind. UR would replace human-incongruent religious conceptualizations of “human mind’s lost integration with cosmic mind unity as teleological force”, or “humanity as fallen or broken” in the traditional religious sense. UR is existential, and holistically it subsumes mind, never the other way around.
Keep in mind that we could see any virtual reality as energy and its power as depending on how it manipulates the minds in which it occurs. We cannot know the ultimate existential consequences (in or as IR) of our reality projection, except to observe that it helps focus energy to accelerate local change in our universe. We can know that DR as we now practice it is the kind of IR that accelerates local syntropic evolution of the universe. This view fits my sense that humans have no free will. We are not the original cause of the reality projection. We are in machine mind singularity. Civilizations have evolved extensive rational philosophies, which determine how humans think, and children individually recapitulate these metaphysical developmental curves of their cultures. Essentially, civilized minds are machine minds. The dynamic function of DR-as-IR is to accelerate cosmic emergence while at the same time to harmonize and dupe the human animal to support the acceleration.
The Unpredictability of the Future is the CRUX of the Problem
I think it is not only delusional, but also fatal to bury the unpredictability of the future so easily under the sophistry of probability theory, e.g., “multivariate causality modeling.” Why do we do science? Is it to answer questions, to improve our situation, or to accelerate cosmic evolution? What is progress really? What are we talking about when we promote economic growth? Do we realize it is exponential? Science is essentially not about answering questions. It is about spawning questions. I find it extremely sad that scientists really believe we are trying to define our environment through experience/empiricism while historically science is the most powerful and efficient net question generating mechanism. The ever-growing surplus questions create a change-accelerating vacuum in our environment. Strong science (as we now practice it) is the acceleration of unpredictability. If you consider the dynamic unpredictability of the universe, the practice of science and technology is the promotion of the evolution of all conceivable vectors far beyond the human scale. That we have not yet grasped this fact in our gut is testimony to the depth of our cognitive seduction.
Changing the Way We Use Language
Searching for an alternative human language (never before used in the mere 100,000 years of fluent language) is central to all my questioning. Science is essentially shamanism in its slavish belief in central metaphysical assumptions (explained in previous section). We leverage technological development by precipitously rooting reality in symbolism/language. I see the way we now use language as the same primitive shamanism that claims the existence of gods, unity consciousness and immortality. I strongly suspect we can use language without imagining that its static concepts can allow us to know the universe. We can speak a different kind of language, rooted existentially, in human existence. This would be human singularity – the perception of human existence as metaphysical, subjective and one, and in acceptance of individual human life as mortal. This will result in a completely different kind of science and art.
Belief Determines Competitive Advantage Deceptively
We can know this: The effect of DR on IR depends on what the thinking agents (humans) identify with, what we think we are. The subjective framework of our meaning making is the principle by which we objectify everything, even ourselves. Since we can analyze only in DR, the strongest long-term existential perception we can have is about our own human existence. Unfortunately, human-existential perception is not necessarily our strongest short-term perception. Our strongest short-term perception is abstract and symbolic, because it translates into the immediate brute competitive force of multiple kinds of large, cohesive groups to stimulate the evolution of technological systems, both material and mental, which give us a short-term survival edge (within single years). In the long term, over many generations, the further we stray from believing in our own existence, the more it negatively affects human species survival, in its implicit support of non-human forms. This hidden process cannot go very long before humanity is extinct. We have evolved for so long to a philosophical focus so far from human existence; the pressure for machines to replace the human life form is now relentless. I wonder how many people realize that in their gut, and if they did, how would they react? Does god-belief, belief in science, nation, wealth, etc. preempt such concerns?
Post-human Shamanism (PHS) and Human Existence
Unity Mind originated in the first evocation of the existence of imaginary extra-human gods and spirits to control members of the tribe, to submit them to “higher purpose.” I call it “post-human shamanism” (PHS). Similarly, contemporary shamanism evokes god-mind, the consecration of mind, opportunistic evolution of all concepts but especially the concept “human,” intelligence, consciousness, immortality, abstraction etc. Post-human shamanism is now, because of the evolution of machine environment, essentially a clear call to be cosmos-congruent, no matter what happens to humanity. This human-incongruent expression of DR exponentially multiplies the human existential problem. Science creates more questions than answers. Religious spiritualists, shamans, gurus, economists, politicians, scientists (collectively the same human-destructive force as they exist now) would say in different ways that the brokenness of human nature is a loss of our god/cosmic unity consciousness. Science would say we are at least getting closer to ultimate knowledge e.g. “we are shrinking the NER,” or unification theory. Economists say we are creating wealth. Politicians talk about freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Why would I be so negative? Well, I think what I am saying is counterintuitive only in the meta-paradigmatic perspective of post-human shamanism. I sound negative to people whose DR is machine-congruent, or in machine mind singularity.
Language and Post-human Shamanism (PHS)
I repeat because of how important it is. Fluent language emergence about 100,000 years ago stimulated post-human cosmic evolution (specifically cognitive technology, essentially shamanism). We have been using language incorrectly. Linguistic shamanism is the technology that drives the perceptual confusion of contentious discrete reality (DR). The latest call of the populist gurus is for “a return to unity consciousness,” as they say. It is a selective adaptation of shamanism in our approach to technological singularity. In the same way calls for god faith, rationalism, nationalism, economic growth, and all such discrete motivational symbols have been selective adaptations of shamanism. The idea of unity consciousness or “transhumanism” is extreme human hypocrisy and will be the fatal blow to the human species. It reflects the rise of the super-intelligent machine through us, in us and around us finally bodily consuming us. After 100,000 years of the evolving technology of cognitive post-humanism, we are now on the brink of existential post-humanism, unless we structurally change the way we use language, which would change the way we think. (Structurally change DR)
I know I have not answered all your questions, Tony. Sometimes I roll in tangents.
Mythology as Reality
Nov 9th
I do not agree with Plato’s cave analogy that our cognitive perception of an independent reality (IR) of the world outside the cave being cast as incomplete shadows against a wall in the cave, as our incomplete dependent reality (DR) perception of it. I do not agree that everything we individually say is an opinion about independent reality (IR). I think the notion that what we say are opinions about IR is part of what we say. It is part of dependent reality (DR). It is real only as a myth. It is not about IR. We cannot define IR. Nevertheless, DR is intrinsically meaning, so we can discuss DR, but then only as if it is a story, or a virtual game. To discuss it as representative of IR is delusional. We know there is something outside our cave, but it has no significant correlation with the shadows on our wall.
Ever since we could use language fluently, only 100,000 years ago, shamans have determined meaning making. We have not overcome that legacy. We still speak like shamans. Our meaning fits the story conveniently, closed system and short term. It does not describe what is. The knowledge of science too, is shamanic. It is what fits the nice little story telling. It is not what is. These emphatic statements are not about claiming that there is absolutely no connection between the phenomenological cave and the outside. I am saying that the connection is so small it is rationally insignificant. The connection is strongly anecdotal. For instance, atom physics developed in ignorance of the aggregate of human suffering in the wake of the bombing of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Nietzsche’s Superman was ignorant about the Nazi death chambers. Transhumanism is ignorant about the unequaled atrocities of the imminent process of human extinction. The connection between the world outside our cave and the reflections on our wall may be insignificant in terms of definable correlation, but the very small connection is like the butterfly effect of chaos theory. The unpredictable consequences of our thinking are pervasive. The influence of believing the myth of being part of a species of rational observers of existential reality on such “observers” is absolute. It is species extinction.
I do believe in a reality independent of mind, (IR) but we cannot describe it. We can only “know” it absolutely. It is our existence. We cannot know it rationally, because imagining that we are reasoning about it is by definition a string of very complete lies (in its claim to be representative). This is the existential dilemma of philosophical rationalism. Can we resolve the dilemma by dynamically aggregating all the small lies by way of the methodologies of Science, Democracy, Corporate Capitalism and the Global Economy? Could the many due process outcomes, consequences, and renewal at least approach epistemological truth? No – in the evolution of complex organization, the future actually becomes more unpredictable. If the process generates far more questions than answers, which is the case, then it is not about finding answers. This means that there is no significant correlation between the lies of the dialectic process and IR, except for the existential shift away from human into machine. Civilization is not about humanity. It is about accelerating the evolution of the universe. With the kind of shamanic meaning making we now follow, the current progress of civilization and knowledge is blatantly anti-human.
The Farce of Gods and Philosophical Realism
Nov 9th
Having said humans do not operate from the principle that human existence is a given, or the measure of everything, or the axiomatic benchmark, I think we should. I think we should because fundamentally nothing matters, and we have to believe in something. What is the natural thing to believe in? At the moment we think of something in the philosophical tradition of Plato’s Forms (as supposed god intelligence sees it) as the measure of everything. We think of our existence as secondary or as theorematic: in terms of deific realism and philosophical realism. It think as existentially human, civilized minds are utterly insane.
I think there are historically very powerful parallels between arts, physics, biology, religion, “symbolic reality” and human neural structures. I call the whole process starting with our wrongheaded shamanic use of language 100,000 odd years ago, leading to posthumanism ,”the machine.”
Two analogies to describe civilization/machine and humanity.
1) The parasitic wasp Glyptapanteles as machine and its parasitic host as humanity.
2) An incredibly powerful predator like a tiger or lion or grizzly has you, human prey in a death grip. You struggle for an instant in which you realize struggling is useless. At feeling the amazing power, you naturally submit to it by identification with it, and as soon as you submit an overpowering sensation of spiritual bliss takes hold of you.
So I DO think there is an independent reality for us outside our mind-body existence, but I think we cannot describe it. We can operate a parallel mythology part of which states that we are discussing our existence and our existential environment, which influences and changes our existence and our existential environment, but such influence is unpredictable. Our participation in civilization is literally merely an exercise of heating up and exponentially accelerating the evolution of emergent complexity leading to the extinction of the human species. We are now very close to species extinction. Our discussions today are discussions between machine minds (not human minds) and we are in machine mind singularity.
The answer to a sane reality is inside us. But then we should wield language differently to how it has been wielded so far. We should adopt no other subjective belief than believing in our own existence as the foundation of reality. “The outside,” as we tell it, is a story, not reality. No mythology is reality. Both Art and Physics are part of the same story. Its influence on the open-system evolution of Technology is indefinable. The work of any individual engineer is indefinable as an element of the evolution of technology. Every concept if it were to be a valid description of what it claims to describe, would have to include all relevant determinism, as to not be the total farce it is in the way we now use it. As you know, it is impossible to include all determinism. Language meaning is a composite farce. Scientific meaning is a double composite farce.
Human Shamanism is Possible
Nov 6th
I am not saying everything about religious philosophy is rubbish. There is much to be said for those shaman systems favoring the harmonization of our whole earthly environment – but only because it seems to me that we can relatively easily rephrase unity spiritual systems in terms of human existential principles. (The subject of possibly my first book). Mystery human-existential metaphysics instead of reality god-existential or concept-existential metaphysics would be a totally new kind of language, never before spoken in the very short history of fluently spoken language. For this I need the help of logicians and linguists.
SUMMARY:
- I object to the notion of immortality. It is an ultimately fatal abomination that has led us to the brink of the era of posthuman machines.
- I object to the notion that the experience of spiritual consciousness (e.g. enlightenment or being with Holy Spirit) is anything more than a potent manifestation of physics centered in the human brain centered in the human body.
- Spiritual consciousness is not exclusively in the human body
- as far as humans share it.
- as far as a vast flow of the physical environment affects it.
- We can only very intuitively experience that physical environment.
- To think we can define our existence either in terms of parts of that physical enviroment or all of it is insane.
- Only our existence defines our existence
I do not agree with spiritualists’ (rational) assessment of what is human. I see it as shamanic rationalization of our dismal civilized condition. The systemic function of philosophies of Hinduism, Buddhism, Kabbalah, Christianity, Islam and Transhumanism is to lead humanity blissfully through the last few fractions into technological singularity.
All I am saying is that all extra-human explanations for being human are more than redundant. They are ultimately dystopian. Existence itself explains existence. The notions of immortal soul and unity consciousness exist mainly to make us suck up to the shamans of civilization and technology.
The Root Cause of All Atrocity
Sep 5th
“Cry my beloved country – Today a young black man who killed himself was buried. His farewell letter: I cannot get my identity book from home affairs as I couldn’t tell them when I was born and thus I cannot get a job. I’m no thief and would rather die than steal to stay alive. First white, now black, SA governments have a utter knack for fucking up our beautiful land.” – Nelia Vivier-Symington.
SA government = South African government.
My NOTE TO NELIA
This is not about race or government. This is about the metaphysics that historically has endlessly repeated the same atrocity of destroying human life.
My tone and language in this post in attack of the superficiality and artificiality of this very official conceptual thread on human feelings, puts me in mortal danger of being branded heretic and arrogant and burnt at the stake. (aka ignored)
Your comment so tokenly faults the “SA Government!”
Irrespective of government and race, the same sad human story is not only bound to continue repeating, if humanity does not wake up: the way we think will emphatically extinguish our species. The power and sadness of these kinds of official accounts are pathetic melodrama next to the deep, deep power and sadness underlying it.
Your lament here is journalistic because that is how you have been alllowed and trained to speak. Similarly you speak psychology like a psychologist. Humans do not need this formalistic kind of thinking and speech if we want to survive. We need speech deep-structurally subversive of this kind of convention
Your brother always.
[Of cours Nelia has, not unexpectedly, cut my initial statement - similar to my first sentence here- out of her post, telling me that it is not about me]
Nelia, it is not about me. I am about humanity. Your inclination to cut me off is not about me. It is about my human voice.
This kind of infuriating tragedy is happening all over the world. Mexico is a hell-hole of gangs and drug-trafficking. American prisons are out of whack and there is a meth and crack epidemic in US rural areas and in the inner city. India and Pakistan are at each other’s throats. Islam is invading Europe, while god does not even exist! I am suggesting the root of the problem is that humanity has never used language as it should be used, whether humans started speaking fluently 400,000 ya or 50,000 ya is academic. We use language shamanically, and the grave error is that there is something inherently more sacred than our own existence, whether it is God or Words.
To be expanded considerably ….
Facebook discussion:
Leon van Wyk
Now that is ridiculous, sheer madness….
Pierre Rousseau
What is ridiculous, Leon?
Leon van Wyk
That home affairs treat humans like that.
Pierre Rousseau
I know, but it is even more ridiculous that people cannot see that if we do not address the root causes, the atrocity will repeat itself in different forms.
Leon van Wyk
Or should I say the machine’s treat for us ? One down, more to go.
Pierre Rousseau
Right. When it explodes it may very well be the death of 7 billion humans.
Leon van Wyk
He had mistakenly believed that with no identity , he was nobody, according to rules made by what or who ?
Pierre Rousseau
Yes, and that is exactly why most people commit suicide either directly or they commit suicide by sucking up (subjecting themselves) to and perseverating in some symbol. They go into a positivity funk. It may be about beauty, power, liberty, freedom, ideology or cause. It blinds them to the root cause.
Leon van Wyk
Pierre, I think it already exploded, the kids are trained to kill humans by playing these stupid computer games. The gun being finally turned on its owner, a single blast of glory, and our hero is extinct……..
Pierre Rousseau
Yes I agree it has already exploded in a relative sense, but the exponential function is not yet vertical. Tomorrow’s change is still like an explosion relative to yesterday explosion. What I mean is that the explosion is still accelerating. I have always suggested the ultimate ass-whipping will happen by the end of 2010. It certainly appears that my prediction is not far off.
Leon van Wyk
Yes, it might be a good idea to kill all technological advances. What I am referring to is kill all the brainwashing devices. From my point of view, a decent network is being built to control humans, especially cellphones, computer networks and games. I agree that will happen soon. The stage has been set, we can still topple the support structure if we want to survive.
Pierre Rousseau
The machine is currently blatantly on a fact-finding mission. Not only is it gathering information on what we say and think in “social” systems like Facebook, Google and personal blogs, it is actually monitoring our deep psychology by tracking everything we do. And it is openly developing the most devious millitary weapons to mislead us and kill us. Humans will very soon lose complete control of these systems. And it knows where we live and our daily routines.
This means that the privacy issue is a complete joke.
Language Describes Only Itself
Apr 11th
Language is not and cannot be a map of existence, even in the most general terms. A normal objection I get when I say that language cannot describe reality is how can I then believe in my own description of reality? The answer is that I am not describing the reality normalized minds think I am describing, and neither are they. As humans we can only talk about the fictional reality we are talking about – on its own terms. All talk is only epistemological in the sense that talk elaborates fictional meaning fictionally. When I talk about gods and religion, I am not talking about the gods god-believers think I am talking about, and neither are they; but they think I do, because they think they do. As humans we can only talk about the god-characters of our religions, and they are fictional. We are only talking about our talk.
We can actually representatively talk about reality exactly how we can talk about gods because they are both imaginary and fictional. We can representatively talk about both these mythologies only as stories, and nothing more. The horror of civilized human psychosis starts when we start believing our stories. This does not apply selectively. It is universal. It does not apply only to someone pointing it out, as I do. So you point a finger and scream, “the liar’s paradox.” Yes. What more can I say? Maybe I can answer that fiction only becomes bullshit when you believe in it? Whatever.
Making us tell stories that stories are representative of reality is how the machine transmits memes in the human species. Fictional ideas infect us like a disease when we are already seduced to the idea that the fiction is real.
normalized – normalized people are people conformed to (contingent) standards and norms.
epistemology –The branch of philosophy concerned with the nature and origin of knowledge. Epistemology asks the question “How do we know what we know?”
mythology – a set of myths, stories, traditions, or beliefs associated with a particular group or the history of an event, arising naturally or deliberately fostered, or with humanity as a whole.
psychosis – a mental disorder characterized by symptoms, such as delusions or hallucinations, that indicate impaired contact with reality. See reality below.
meme – A unit of cultural information, such as a cultural practice or idea, that is transmitted verbally or by repeated action from one mind to another.
memeplex – a complex of ideas reinforcing each other and forming a local descriptive cognitive space superimposed on existence in which humans move. It distorts our existence as a properly mystical experience (in the sense that it is analytically indefinable) to appear to be a kind of mechanical virtual reality with discrete variables, in which we are seduced to think we are in control.
reality – I suggest we change our understanding of what underlies the term “reality” to signify something logically unknowable. This would destroy terminology as existence and weaken terminology as analogy of existence. Or we could replace what in normalized language we call, “reality,” with the term, “existence,” with the understanding that we cannot describe existence except completely figuratively, and in awareness that our talk even only partly deterministically affects that existence completely unpredictably. Our talk in aggregate seems to massively leverage the unpredictability of existence. The more sophisticated the talk, the more unpredictable the consequences.

Introduction to a Revolutionary Pamphlet
Apr 9th
I am writing and rewriting this pamphlet without being able to place the sections in meaningful order or to prevent the content of sections overlapping. This difficulty arises from the delusion of civilized minds being massively dynamic, because of the ubiquity and massive aggregations of civilized logic as a systemic dialectic. This means there are billions of human opinions contending with each other, but in contention they can be seen as harmoniously involved in the dialectics evolving inside the machine. Single human opinions (opinions disharmonious to the machine) have been permanently silenced. Every part of civilized minds’ twisted logic is dynamically connected to every other part. We all have such twisted minds. Those who fail to acquire such minds at least adequately are marginalized, institutionalized, imprisoned, on the street, or dead. That is why you should read and reread this in every possible order. And then read it some more, until it makes sense.
It is time for humanity to wake up fast to replace our machine perspective underlying our meaning making with a human perspective, and so to rise up as humans to save our species from imminent extinction. I do embrace individual human cognitive development in principle, but I absolutely reject the development of “consciousness” based on materialistic principles, or as a subject-object “reality.” I must conclude that humans’ blind romance with the overheated progress of technology is as frivolous and delusional as chasing the wind. The wonderful individual renewal of child development as well as adult learning would exist without civilization’s dystopian cultures of precipitous progress. The current dynamically evolving ontological and epistemological metaphysics as part of the exponentially accelerating evolution of technology is so powerful, it is even utterly indifferent to human life and the survival of the human species. It is a metaphysics of resigned acceptance of the most powerful mechanisms in our local cosmos. Human meaning making has evolved to be nothing less than an evolving technology itself. As a species we have been seduced to take a total machine perspective integrated with the broader evolution of technology. There is only Delusions of Cosmic Enlightenment on this path of so-called “progress,” along with the dead end of human extinction. It means that human conceptual reality and human existence are absolutely subject to the dynamics of technology, even if it kills all of us.
I suggest we should instead take a path of certain human survival. Adoption of a properly human perspective or of actual human meaning making will result in a human condition known as “human singularity,” in which the principle of human existence absolutely subjects the development of technology. To survive for longer than just a few years on the current path, as humans we will have to reconstruct our meaning-making from the roots up. The evolution of human singularity will be rooted in meaning and language gradually evolving into something completely different. The meaning of the embryonic human singularity could be known as “proto-meaning” and the normalized human in the early stages of making proto-meaning, as “proto-human.”
The section-by-section reconstruction to a more human perspective, of the more fundamental meaning of subjects in question, is in terms of its own language and terminology. Unfortunately a lot of esoteric words are necessary because of the conceited sophistication and contrived complexity of the subjects. At the end of each section are dictionary-type definitions of the more esoteric words in the text. Definitions are mostly from dictionary.com and wikipedia.org. Some very early clarifying proto-terminology appears here and there.
dialectic – of, pertaining to, or of the nature of logical argumentation | the juxtaposition or interaction of conflicting ideas, forces, etc.
Hegelian Dialectics (short-“dialectics) an interpretive method, originally used to relate specific entities or events to the absolute idea, in which some assertible proposition (thesis) is necessarily opposed by an equally assertible and apparently contradictory proposition (antithesis), the mutual contradiction being reconciled on a higher level of truth by a third proposition (synthesis).
esoteric – understood by or meant for only the select few who have special knowledge or interest; recondite: poetry full of esoteric allusions.
