Usually we hear that the population encroachment of HUMANS on lions’ habitat is the greatest reason for now fast declining lion populations. I find the fallacy that it is humans encroaching on lions’ habitat a sign of gross encroachment of the machine on human mind. This is just one example of the language parasite in the human mind as a far more fundamental and comprehensive kind of encroachment than the encroachment of “economic infrastructure” on lions’ habitat. Diversionary Shaman lies like “humans dunnit,” are indirectly behind this and many more vile and virus-like encroachments. The Shaman language machine mind is the expansionary force behind the extinction of species. Shaman language is killing the biosphere. It is killing humanity.
Shaman language needs infrastructure to proliferate like viral infection. Humans do not need it. Civilization is all about diversification and complexification. The human species is host to an epidemic. This is why the infrastructure we delusionally think of as our own, is encroaching on the “habitat” of wildlife and where it is not directly extinguishing them, drives them nuts.
Our Shamanic Split
Feb 17th
Phalanxes of shamans
held dear the bursting glare of Ra
and the radiation of that light
unfolded Hades in projection
as everlasting pain
Until not so very long ago,
in the flow of time
muse Plato added to the myth,
“chained we are, backs turned
to raging fires on the floor
unlike gods we only see
shadows moving on the wall.”
Plato furthermore proclaimed
that we cannot see
“The Beauty of the Forms…,”
yet they are there
as sure as gods are there
this I know my dearest friends
it is all but life like burning flame
in the simmer of the peacock’s tail
and the hollows in our hearts
to where the shadows split
to “us as all” and “all as us”
adrift in cosmic passion flow
consuming in its artificial bowl
the little human left
Note on the last verse:
… with Aristotles’ subsequent Shamanic claim that, like the supposed gods, we can indeed know “The Forms,” the shadows described in Plato’s Shamanic mythology ironically took the virtual form of the imaginary Forms.

The Human Condition
Nov 12th
I am adding this paragraph as a late introduction to the post. I had a short discussion with my seventeen-year old daughter a few minutes ago. She complained that two of her good male friends think of each other as “not cool” (to put it lightly), even thought they had never spoken to each other, she says. My answer was that us humans are really very thick (dumb/nearly completely unconscious) and delusion and intelligence (in the conventional sense of the word) are positively correlated. In this way, the most intelligent are the dumbest. This is why I believe without negotiation in all human existence and human dignity, and I do not believe in any symbolic characterizations and sliding scales defining “human.”
My Friend Tony, referring to Plato’s Cave Analogy: (IR is Independent Reality, or the whole universe, as it is beyond our senses, but including our senses. DR is Dependent Reality, or what our minds consciously experience as a result of being part of the universe)
Tony/ “In your model (am I right?): IR is as it is, DR is what we sense when watching the wall pictures we project on the wall. In this model, IR and DR are really independent, DR is virtual, disjoint without common part or interaction. We could say an irremovable horizon divides things into two realities. Here DR is imaginary, obviously.”/Tony.
Unity Reality (UR), Existence Subsuming Mind
Your projection analogy is great! I will get to the specific perspective of the irremovable horizon between DR and IR later in this post. Thanks to you, I am refining my model further … Human projection of DR (dependent reality), despite being virtual, actually exists, so it is actually itself IR (independent reality). We could establish the term unity reality (UR) to use instead of IR, to fit my model. To fit with UR, discrete reality (DR) would then replace dependent reality (DR), reflecting both the broken quality and insulating qualities of imagination. Reason, as we now practice it, seems to insulate us from nature, specifically our own nature as human animal. UR as a human-existential principle would be a healthy (human-congruent) term to distinguish existence from mind. UR would replace human-incongruent religious conceptualizations of “human mind’s lost integration with cosmic mind unity as teleological force”, or “humanity as fallen or broken” in the traditional religious sense. UR is existential, and holistically it subsumes mind, never the other way around.
Keep in mind that we could see any virtual reality as energy and its power as depending on how it manipulates the minds in which it occurs. We cannot know the ultimate existential consequences (in or as IR) of our reality projection, except to observe that it helps focus energy to accelerate local change in our universe. We can know that DR as we now practice it is the kind of IR that accelerates local syntropic evolution of the universe. This view fits my sense that humans have no free will. We are not the original cause of the reality projection. We are in machine mind singularity. Civilizations have evolved extensive rational philosophies, which determine how humans think, and children individually recapitulate these metaphysical developmental curves of their cultures. Essentially, civilized minds are machine minds. The dynamic function of DR-as-IR is to accelerate cosmic emergence while at the same time to harmonize and dupe the human animal to support the acceleration.
The Unpredictability of the Future is the CRUX of the Problem
I think it is not only delusional, but also fatal to bury the unpredictability of the future so easily under the sophistry of probability theory, e.g., “multivariate causality modeling.” Why do we do science? Is it to answer questions, to improve our situation, or to accelerate cosmic evolution? What is progress really? What are we talking about when we promote economic growth? Do we realize it is exponential? Science is essentially not about answering questions. It is about spawning questions. I find it extremely sad that scientists really believe we are trying to define our environment through experience/empiricism while historically science is the most powerful and efficient net question generating mechanism. The ever-growing surplus questions create a change-accelerating vacuum in our environment. Strong science (as we now practice it) is the acceleration of unpredictability. If you consider the dynamic unpredictability of the universe, the practice of science and technology is the promotion of the evolution of all conceivable vectors far beyond the human scale. That we have not yet grasped this fact in our gut is testimony to the depth of our cognitive seduction.
Changing the Way We Use Language
Searching for an alternative human language (never before used in the mere 100,000 years of fluent language) is central to all my questioning. Science is essentially shamanism in its slavish belief in central metaphysical assumptions (explained in previous section). We leverage technological development by precipitously rooting reality in symbolism/language. I see the way we now use language as the same primitive shamanism that claims the existence of gods, unity consciousness and immortality. I strongly suspect we can use language without imagining that its static concepts can allow us to know the universe. We can speak a different kind of language, rooted existentially, in human existence. This would be human singularity – the perception of human existence as metaphysical, subjective and one, and in acceptance of individual human life as mortal. This will result in a completely different kind of science and art.
Belief Determines Competitive Advantage Deceptively
We can know this: The effect of DR on IR depends on what the thinking agents (humans) identify with, what we think we are. The subjective framework of our meaning making is the principle by which we objectify everything, even ourselves. Since we can analyze only in DR, the strongest long-term existential perception we can have is about our own human existence. Unfortunately, human-existential perception is not necessarily our strongest short-term perception. Our strongest short-term perception is abstract and symbolic, because it translates into the immediate brute competitive force of multiple kinds of large, cohesive groups to stimulate the evolution of technological systems, both material and mental, which give us a short-term survival edge (within single years). In the long term, over many generations, the further we stray from believing in our own existence, the more it negatively affects human species survival, in its implicit support of non-human forms. This hidden process cannot go very long before humanity is extinct. We have evolved for so long to a philosophical focus so far from human existence; the pressure for machines to replace the human life form is now relentless. I wonder how many people realize that in their gut, and if they did, how would they react? Does god-belief, belief in science, nation, wealth, etc. preempt such concerns?
Post-human Shamanism (PHS) and Human Existence
Unity Mind originated in the first evocation of the existence of imaginary extra-human gods and spirits to control members of the tribe, to submit them to “higher purpose.” I call it “post-human shamanism” (PHS). Similarly, contemporary shamanism evokes god-mind, the consecration of mind, opportunistic evolution of all concepts but especially the concept “human,” intelligence, consciousness, immortality, abstraction etc. Post-human shamanism is now, because of the evolution of machine environment, essentially a clear call to be cosmos-congruent, no matter what happens to humanity. This human-incongruent expression of DR exponentially multiplies the human existential problem. Science creates more questions than answers. Religious spiritualists, shamans, gurus, economists, politicians, scientists (collectively the same human-destructive force as they exist now) would say in different ways that the brokenness of human nature is a loss of our god/cosmic unity consciousness. Science would say we are at least getting closer to ultimate knowledge e.g. “we are shrinking the NER,” or unification theory. Economists say we are creating wealth. Politicians talk about freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Why would I be so negative? Well, I think what I am saying is counterintuitive only in the meta-paradigmatic perspective of post-human shamanism. I sound negative to people whose DR is machine-congruent, or in machine mind singularity.
Language and Post-human Shamanism (PHS)
I repeat because of how important it is. Fluent language emergence about 100,000 years ago stimulated post-human cosmic evolution (specifically cognitive technology, essentially shamanism). We have been using language incorrectly. Linguistic shamanism is the technology that drives the perceptual confusion of contentious discrete reality (DR). The latest call of the populist gurus is for “a return to unity consciousness,” as they say. It is a selective adaptation of shamanism in our approach to technological singularity. In the same way calls for god faith, rationalism, nationalism, economic growth, and all such discrete motivational symbols have been selective adaptations of shamanism. The idea of unity consciousness or “transhumanism” is extreme human hypocrisy and will be the fatal blow to the human species. It reflects the rise of the super-intelligent machine through us, in us and around us finally bodily consuming us. After 100,000 years of the evolving technology of cognitive post-humanism, we are now on the brink of existential post-humanism, unless we structurally change the way we use language, which would change the way we think. (Structurally change DR)
I know I have not answered all your questions, Tony. Sometimes I roll in tangents.
Mythology as Reality
Nov 9th
I do not agree with Plato’s cave analogy that our cognitive perception of an independent reality (IR) of the world outside the cave being cast as incomplete shadows against a wall in the cave, as our incomplete dependent reality (DR) perception of it. I do not agree that everything we individually say is an opinion about independent reality (IR). I think the notion that what we say are opinions about IR is part of what we say. It is part of dependent reality (DR). It is real only as a myth. It is not about IR. We cannot define IR. Nevertheless, DR is intrinsically meaning, so we can discuss DR, but then only as if it is a story, or a virtual game. To discuss it as representative of IR is delusional. We know there is something outside our cave, but it has no significant correlation with the shadows on our wall.
Ever since we could use language fluently, only 100,000 years ago, shamans have determined meaning making. We have not overcome that legacy. We still speak like shamans. Our meaning fits the story conveniently, closed system and short term. It does not describe what is. The knowledge of science too, is shamanic. It is what fits the nice little story telling. It is not what is. These emphatic statements are not about claiming that there is absolutely no connection between the phenomenological cave and the outside. I am saying that the connection is so small it is rationally insignificant. The connection is strongly anecdotal. For instance, atom physics developed in ignorance of the aggregate of human suffering in the wake of the bombing of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Nietzsche’s Superman was ignorant about the Nazi death chambers. Transhumanism is ignorant about the unequaled atrocities of the imminent process of human extinction. The connection between the world outside our cave and the reflections on our wall may be insignificant in terms of definable correlation, but the very small connection is like the butterfly effect of chaos theory. The unpredictable consequences of our thinking are pervasive. The influence of believing the myth of being part of a species of rational observers of existential reality on such “observers” is absolute. It is species extinction.
I do believe in a reality independent of mind, (IR) but we cannot describe it. We can only “know” it absolutely. It is our existence. We cannot know it rationally, because imagining that we are reasoning about it is by definition a string of very complete lies (in its claim to be representative). This is the existential dilemma of philosophical rationalism. Can we resolve the dilemma by dynamically aggregating all the small lies by way of the methodologies of Science, Democracy, Corporate Capitalism and the Global Economy? Could the many due process outcomes, consequences, and renewal at least approach epistemological truth? No – in the evolution of complex organization, the future actually becomes more unpredictable. If the process generates far more questions than answers, which is the case, then it is not about finding answers. This means that there is no significant correlation between the lies of the dialectic process and IR, except for the existential shift away from human into machine. Civilization is not about humanity. It is about accelerating the evolution of the universe. With the kind of shamanic meaning making we now follow, the current progress of civilization and knowledge is blatantly anti-human.
Human Shamanism is Possible
Nov 6th
I am not saying everything about religious philosophy is rubbish. There is much to be said for those shaman systems favoring the harmonization of our whole earthly environment – but only because it seems to me that we can relatively easily rephrase unity spiritual systems in terms of human existential principles. (The subject of possibly my first book). Mystery human-existential metaphysics instead of reality god-existential or concept-existential metaphysics would be a totally new kind of language, never before spoken in the very short history of fluently spoken language. For this I need the help of logicians and linguists.
SUMMARY:
- I object to the notion of immortality. It is an ultimately fatal abomination that has led us to the brink of the era of posthuman machines.
- I object to the notion that the experience of spiritual consciousness (e.g. enlightenment or being with Holy Spirit) is anything more than a potent manifestation of physics centered in the human brain centered in the human body.
- Spiritual consciousness is not exclusively in the human body
- as far as humans share it.
- as far as a vast flow of the physical environment affects it.
- We can only very intuitively experience that physical environment.
- To think we can define our existence either in terms of parts of that physical enviroment or all of it is insane.
- Only our existence defines our existence
I do not agree with spiritualists’ (rational) assessment of what is human. I see it as shamanic rationalization of our dismal civilized condition. The systemic function of philosophies of Hinduism, Buddhism, Kabbalah, Christianity, Islam and Transhumanism is to lead humanity blissfully through the last few fractions into technological singularity.
All I am saying is that all extra-human explanations for being human are more than redundant. They are ultimately dystopian. Existence itself explains existence. The notions of immortal soul and unity consciousness exist mainly to make us suck up to the shamans of civilization and technology.
Shamanic Shift
Oct 30th
Gurus suddenly malign what is actually an ancient separation FROM our self in our shamanic/machine identification with gods and abstract “reality” as a separation OF our self as ego from universe. Gurus now favor the even deeper shamanic integration of our self with machine under the guise of unity consciousness. They are still slave to the same message: that we must not resist the organization!
Before the machine gained absolute dominance shamanism made us submit to the machine by defining ourselves in terms of it bit by bit. Now that the machine is dominant, shamanism has evolved. Now it criticizes the old shamanism as incomplete and as human delusion. The new shamanism determines that we must submit by complete assimilation.
Not only that. The new singularity shamanism calls the old dialectic shamanism an egoistic, combative dream-state of limiting our co-creative Source. It now seduces us into a “higher” dimension of accelerating the “creative” destruction of our species.
Love Beauty Soul and Truth
Oct 28th
Neo-shamanism tells us we must get rid of our ego and blatantly claims we must merge with the Creator as co-creators as if it is the opposite of ego. Open your eyes, people! Neo-shamanism peddles the story that ego exists because of our dysfunctionality! But shamanism is our dysfunction as human organisms. It is our ego!
The shamanic message is 1) faith in the supernatural (ancestors, gods, devils, angels, creative spirit, unity consciousness, ~ immortality) and 2) faith in false symbolic reality. These are the roots of the organization/civilization or machine, and it has invaded us, body and soul. (“soul” here does not mean immortal soul) SOUL = our human goodness, which because of shamanism is now transmuted into the soul of the machine. The goodness civilized minds today think of as human, is actually nearly completely machine.
Love is existential. It is indefinable. We are not universal creativity. We are human animals. The machine-mind-singularity shamanic argument dumping on the human animal is the source of all human frustration and mental pathology. We human animals are mortal like all other animals. The shamanic myth of immortal soul is the nucleus of all cultural rubbish.
Love, beauty, soul and truth are human animal existence and dignity, subject to nothing and nothing can define it except human animal existence and dignity. Believing the opposite is the root of all atrocity and pathology and is driving us into posthuman (euphemistically called “transhuman”) technological singularity.
The universe does not give an expletive excrement about human life. In our corner of the universe, the power of the universe is machine, and it has so utterly taken over human minds, we actually identify ourselves as co-creative force; as universe! Our minds are machine-melted unconsciousness.
The universe exists. It does not give an expletive excrement about anything, humanity included. The infinite wonder of human-existential essence underlying abstractions like love, beauty, soul and truth is indefinable. The identification of our human essence as universe is utterly self-destructive. Posthuman technological singularity is the obvious result.
Losing Our Humanity
Oct 12th
Jung’s collective unconscious is rooted in stories, in one hundred thousand years of shamanism and mythological archetyping. The transcendent is not real. It is imaginary. That a very rich transcendent imagination is real, does not make real what we imagine as real because of our ancestral imprinting. It seems to me much of civilization’s systemic cognitive manipulation of human animals finds hooks directly in our collective unconscious.
The function of the hundred thousand year history of shamanism and the collective unconscious is to transcend and effectively cloak the dismal fact of being cognitively machine-parisitized. Why then does enlightenment and religion feel so good? It feels good to believe in something we imagine is greater than ourself: contrasted against how terrible we feel when we are only vaguely aware that we are delusional because of the inner mental slavery of our participation in the insane process of relentlessly driving our species into extinction.
… and to be vaguely aware that we have lost something very precious (we cannot know what it is, we are so far gone) when we lost our humanity.
