| Babies are imaginatively completely unconscious: that is why we cannot remember anything whatsoever from before the age of about three. As shown in the line above, babies do consciously experience movement and sensation, but they cannot think about it.

... because past infancy we do acquire operational consciousness, which is exactly why we are so open to being totally brainwashed. But it always remains a most rudimentary consciousness, and the brainwashing includes a most distorted story about our nature, including the nature of our consciousness. The story grossly exaggerates the quality and quantity of our consciousness.
